What are your ways to make money in Warband Vanilla? Hello, I'm fairly new to the game, and the highest amount denars I've had was around k but that was because of other factions wanting to buy their prisoner back. My denars is always decreasing because of the weekly wages. Thank you guys for your awesome tips!

I haven't done any trading yet, I don't know if I will, but I enjoy making denars via battle and combat. I've got my companions blunt weapons, leveled my prisoner management, and was able to make a lot of money through that, with the help of selling Sea Raider's equipment. Right now, I only have two enterprises weavery and dyeworks , one in Swadia, and one at Rivacheg. And holy shit, the one at Rivacheg gives about 1.

Still building, but damn that's a lot.. With over 5k after purchasing Rivacheg enterprise, I am now able to have a lot of awesome Swadian cavalry: You can also become a vassal for a king and siege a castle. Sooner or later you'll be awarded a fief, which should cover the weekly wages. I'm a mercenary for Swadia right now, so i just need a few more renown to become a vassal. Stay a mercenary for a bit. If you become vassal you will loose that bonus from being a mercenary which is paying for a large part of your troops.

That's why you help out your village, and then you get some decent money. I brought them cattle and built them a mill, and now I get around denar. The shitty thing about having a village is that somehow the enemy armies just know where your village is and target it first, even if that means going deep into our region, past several other villages.

Talked about this very thing yesterday. Sometimes the tournaments screw you over though, you can make it to the final round, and you get a bow and a dagger as your weapon, against a sword and shield. The arrows can't penetrate the shield, and the dagger can't block, so you just get righteously fucked. Also, does having more renown reduce how much you can win betting on yourself? I try to enter tournaments as much as I can just for some easy money, but it seemed like after I had taken some castles and won a few large battles I was taking in half as much winnings as I had initially.

When you win the odds increase and they decrease over time. In Native you can win over 4, Denars with prime betting on top of the flat Denar payout. I can make use of the bow and arrow in group fights, as I don't get focused. But when it's the final round and there's nothing to pick up, you get kind of fuckered. If they have a shield get close on the left side, that way they have to turn to hit you on their blind side.

If they have a two-handed sword get as many shots in until they get close, then just hug their body and try to stun lock them with dagger swings. Remove the chance to get a ranged weapon in the Module folder, because honestly, who would volunteer to step in front of a charging, armored horse and rider unless they're Halt?

Get a high prisoner management skill. Give all your companions blunt weapons, and hire manhunters that have been captured by bandits when you defeat them. Sell the resulting ridiculous numbers of prisoners. Flanged maces are very common, fair to start with. Then work up to military hammers which were the best one handed blunt weapons I could find.

I generally just look at the damage, take the highest damage one for myself and then distribute downwards among my companions. I prefer a heavy iron mace 2h myself. It sometimes negates an opponent's block and damages them. Don't know the math but speed plays a role so it's nice on horseback.

Swadian knights use them I think. Do a few runs around the entire map and you'll have , denars. Then build a few of the most profitable businesses in different parts of the map to avoid war issues to keep your income rolling in, and you're golden.

Keep it open during the game too! Set up a Weavery and Dyeworks in Rivacheg, that's the northernmost city of the Veagirs. You'll net denars a week. This is because Rivacheg is one of two places that creates silks the other is Jelkala and one of the villages around it creates dyes. These two things together make the input material cost extremely cheap.

Supply and demand are very important in this game. To get the 10, startup money, you should do what has already been said and bet on yourself in some tournaments.

Every arena master knows all upcoming tournaments, talk to him to get their locations. Oh, and Meriga, default lord of Rivacheg, is a quarrelsome jerk who has negative relation with you by default.

Be prepared to kiss some ass to get things done. Wow, that's a lot per week. Will i have to do a few tasks for the lord of Rivacheg before he'll allow me to buy the enterprise, or is it just for the town?

The townspeople are just fine, it's Meriga who'll object. However, Meriga, being a generally worthless layabout, may have committed treason, lost the town in battle, or been indicted.

In your game, he may not even own Rivacheg. In every game I've ever played as a Vaegir, Meriga gets indicted for treason really early on and it always goes to either Vlan or Naldera. Here is what I recommend. Start out fighting bandits and collecting their gear to sell. Eventually get some points into prisoner management and you'll be able to capture them as well. Use that to build a nest egg. You'll be surprised how much you get from prisoners especially if you're going after sea raiders.

Once you feel comfortable try some mercenary work to build up your rep with the lords. Once you've chosen a faction I'd recommend setting up different businesses in the cities they own.

After you start getting fiefs it's pretty easy from there. I've watched a video on enterprises, and saw that the weavery and dyeworks is the best to invest on, but is it worth it to buy the other enterprises? Don't forget to recruit Manhunters when you can. You can only get them when you free them from bandits, but they've made me so much money.

As far as the weavery and dyeworks go your millage may vary. If you have the money 10, max to plunk down go ahead. Don't be afraid to start small and upgrade later.

The brewery is pretty solid no matter what. Every little bit helps when you're trying to offset your weekly troop salaries. The dyeworks have a really decent return on investment, with Rivecheg being the best by far in the entire game. However, not all dyeworks are created equal and you can make more with other productive enterprises in certain other cities.

Iirc Curaw makes the most with Ironworks, Veluca oil press, and a tannery for Jelkala. Some people say to build a linen weavery in Shariz but the Sarranids are usually the last faction I deal with so I don't know first hand. Be mindful of investing in productive enterprise prior to joining a faction.

Whenever you're at war you don't receive revenue from enterprises that reside in enemy cities. Loot and pillage towns, sell captured prisoners as slaves, establish the roots of Calradia's prime warzone aged beef industry. Loothing towns is a great way to get money! And if you have the diplomacg mod installed you dont have to worry about hiring men from those towns because when you get a castle yoy can get someone else to hire them for you.

Is there any way to slow down the time while looting or stop it during? It's a party skill, so you gain the benefit from companions having it, if they have it higher than yours. I sign up as a merc then raid villages until I have enough to buy 2 dyeworks in 2 different factions. Then I try to keep to that budget until I can afford more dye works. If I need a little extra money I raid more villages. It destroys your honour for the early game but later on I refuse to take Lords as prisoners to raise my honour back up when it starts becoming important to have people like you.

Your best bet with the enterprises is to ask the guild masters how wealthy their town is compared to others, and if it is considerably wealthy, go through their enterprises and see which one is most profitable for that town. The profits always vary, however, so make sure that if one of your enterprises starts losing money, you sell it and purchase a different one. You said you're new so I'd like to recommend you don't capture or ransom off anyone besides a King.

Late game it becomes important to have built good friendships with lords so they join your faction. As for money, tournaments are great for getting the ball rolling. In there's a feast in a town there will be several tournaments held.

I like to save up to 10k and buy the Weavery and Dyeworks. It seems like a like a lot to only get g per week in return but have a steady income is nice. If you're working for a king I wouldn't accept any land from him that's not a city. If you own too much land he will be less likely to reward you with a city. Is it necessary to start my own kingdom, or can I just stick with being a vassal of Swadia? Is it possible to take the throne from the king? You can stay a vassal, I just find breaking off to be more fun.

You can't just up and usurp him but if you own a few places and he gives you cause to break off you can wage war against him. Usually you help capture a town and request and he gives it to you, he denies and that will give you cause to leave. Seriously, you get just about everything you could need from battles so don't bother with buying the best equipment. Just make do with what you can until you can afford to splurge. Hm, in my current save, I'll probably just stick with vassal and try to help Swadia conquer more land.

Then when I'm done with that, I'll start a new save and try to make my own kingdom. It's not a bad idea to rescue prisoner lords as a mercenary. A decent amount of denars for very little effort, plus you get a reasonable relationship boost with the rescued lord and the relative who asks you to free them. Either ask about possible jobs in the taverns or just seek out the relatives of captured lords. To start off attack looters. Then once you get a decently trained troop go after tundra bandits the ones in vaegir territory they use mainly bows so shields are recommended.

They can give you about denari when you win depending on size. And they are great for getting exp. Which is only around 12 less than sea raiders and are comparatively weaker. Then after that the world is your oyster.

At least in my experience. Like the player character, heroes never die and are only knocked unconscious. You can never station them in garrisons. Often, they will talk to you when you are doing something which they do not like, such as failing quests or running low on food. They will also talk to you when you reach a certain point on the map, and tell you a bit about their history and how that particular location relates to it.

how to make lots of money in mount and blade warband

I read it through, but I'd rather use my blade and arrows: You could do what I did and download MB tweak to change the tournament betting amounts by a factor of You should be able to bet 1k in game so yeah I don't count it as cheating.

1000 Denar in 1 Minute - Mount and Blade Warband New Player Guide PS4

Kill some bandits, sell their equipment for some extra money. As for bandits, I've figured killing sea raiders gave quite a lot, but my men die a lot. Sorry about the one word reply, multitasking like crazy up in here.

If you do not like the weapon you are given: Order troops to follow Get close to an enemy team so your teammates engage them Pick up the first weapon that falls The reason you are getting less money is because the odds are shifting. If they have a horse stick them on a wall and hit them from behind. What are good ones to use? May i ask though, what is special about manhunters? You of course can choose to leave the king on good terms but he keeps all land. I also forgot to mention my most important tip for making money.

Yeah, I never spend money on the marketplace apart from food, because they look so expensive. Posts are automatically archived after 6 months.
